Sweet and tangy sauce drizzled on steamed eggplants with a spicy seasoning



  1. Cut the eggplants in halves lengthwise and make diagonal incisions into the flesh of each eggplant half. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and cumin powder.Spicy Eggplant_step01
  2. To make the dressing, mix the dressing ingredients in a small bowl.

  • Tip : Trim off a small slice of the bottom of the eggplants so they sit nicely on a serving dish.

  • 2 Eggplants
  • Olive Oil as needed
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Fish Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 50g Red Chilli, chopped
